故事
我注意到學生、遠距工作者以及上班族,經常因為方便而選擇含糖量高、熱量高的飲品。因此,「the triptych」 創造了一個簡單易泡的在家選項,只需不到 30 分鐘即可享用。我相信日常飲品可以有更好的選擇更健康、更實惠,同時一樣令人滿足。
About
the triptych is a Taiwanese black tea brand that aims to encourage home-brewed for Gen Z.
Unlike traditional impressions of tea brands, the triptych uses personalized illustrated characters to redefine its brand image, offering the public a fresh perspective and new way of experiencing tea.
Story
I noticed that students, remote workers, and office professionals often grab sugary, high-calorie drinks out of convenience. So “the triptych” created an easy, home-brewed alternative that’s ready in under 30 minutes. I believe there’s a better way to enjoy your daily drink: one that’s healthier, more affordable, and just as satisfying.

此project探討字標標誌的多種變化。the triptych 的靈感源自古希臘詞彙「Triptych」,意指由三個部分組成的藝術作品,品牌將「三」的概念融入茶葉選擇與產地之中。the triptych 精選來自台灣日月潭的 紅玉紅茶(#18)、阿薩姆紅茶(#8)、與紅韻紅茶(#21),象徵日、月、潭的和諧,帶來純正且豐富的茶飲體驗。
This project explores variations of the wordmark logo. the triptych is inspired by the ancient Greek “triptych,” meaning a three-panel artwork, the brand embraces the concept of “three” in both its tea selection and origin. the triptych offers Ruby Black Tea (#18), Assam (#8), and Red Rhythm (#21) from Taiwan’s Sun Moon Lake, symbolizing the harmony of sun, moon, and lake—bringing a rich, authentic tea experience.

The colors draw inspiration from both the essence of black tea and the natural beauty of Sun Moon Lake. Sun Ruby reflects the deep richness of Ruby Black Tea, Moon Rock embodies the bold, malty character of Assam Black Tea, and Classic Blue symbolizes the tranquil lake that nurtures the smooth, mellow
notes of Red Rhythm Black Tea.

the triptych 標誌融合了四種字體,其中兩種相互呼應,營造出和諧的平衡感。標誌中的小寫 “t” 採用 Didot Roman & Italic,並延展其筆劃,以強調優雅感,形成字首與其餘部分鮮明的對比。透過精心挑選的字體,the triptych 呈現出既鮮明直接,又細膩悠長的韻味。
the triptych logo incorporates four typefaces, with two complementing each other for a cohesive balance. It features a stretched stem on the lowercase “t” in Didot Roman & Italic, emphasizing elegance and creating a striking contrast between the head and the rest of the letterforms.
Through its carefully chosen typefaces, the triptych conveys a balance of bold clarity and subtle aroma.

Two distinct stagings create unique visuals and evoke different emotions. Staging V1, set against a white background, presents the family package with a smooth and harmonious tone.
In contrast, Staging V2 incorporates more human interaction and focuses on intricate details. The black background enhances contrast, making the packages stand out while highlighting their visual intricacies.

在設計角色時,我總是從一個故事開始——這個故事通常圍繞著兩種互補元素之間的關係展開。在這個案例中,紅玉紅茶象徵太陽,而韻律紅茶則代表湖泊。這種對立而和諧的關係成為每個角色特質的靈感來源。
此外,他們的視覺設計與茶香特徵也進一步塑造了其獨特的個性。
每位角色的膚色與專屬的色彩巧妙呼應。耳環象徵他們的編號與名稱,而眼下類似紋身的符號則對應著元素屬性。
When designing characters, I always start with a story—often built on the relationship between two complementary elements. In this case, Ruby Black Tea represents the sun, while Rhythm Black Tea embodies the lake. These complementary serve as inspiration for each character’s traits.
Additionally, their visual design and tea notes further shape their unique personalities.
Each character’s skin tone is subtly aligned with their respective color treatment. Their earrings symbolize their designated numbers and names, while the tattoo-like markings beneath their eyes represent their elemental attributes.
