The BIODESIGN logo incorporates the micro symbol “µ” as its centerpiece, a meaningful representation of the organization’s identity. In today’s crowded logo landscape, we recognize that abstract symbolic logos may not be immediately recognizable. To address this, we utilized the micro symbol to convey a clear, direct meaning while creating a visually impactful design.

Wordmark文字標誌
The wordmark integrates the micro symbol as its foundation but extends it to form the word “BIODESIGN.” This approach ensures that the micro symbol remains central to the brand identity. It is also applied creatively throughout the brand, such as using brackets to highlight important elements and visually encapsulate key subjects within them.
字標保留了微符號的核心元素,但將其延展形成了「BIODESIGN」這個單詞。此設計確保微符號在品牌識別中始終保持中心地位。同時,品牌也將其創意地運用,例如使用括號來突顯重要元素,將關鍵主題包覆在括號之中以增加視覺效果和意義。
Color顏色
Our logo color is designed to primarily appear in black or white. However, in certain instances, we adapt to extreme background colors by applying flexibility to ensure the logo maintains its clarity and impact.
我們的標誌顏色主要以黑色和白色為主。然而,在某些情況下,當放置於極端背景顏色上時,我們會靈活調整,以確保標誌的清晰度和效果得以保持。
Clearspace

To ensure both our symbol and wordmark have enough breathing room, we maintain clear space around them. For the symbol, we use the square node to define the surrounding space. For the wordmark, we use the height of the letter “N” to establish the necessary clear space.

Our logos are usually placed on solid colors, nature background, or content. Maintaining proper contrast is essential to ensure the logo remains clear and readable.

Readability
可讀性
When placing a logo on a background, maintain a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 to ensure optimal readability. However, in specific design scenarios, a logo may be placed on a similar-colored background to achieve a particular visual effect or purpose (It requires approval from the design team). If the contrast falls below this threshold, adjust the background color or choose an alternative that improves visibility.

In certain situations, we adapt the symbol logo to align better with production needs. This includes adjusting the orientation of the logo for various purposes or extending its design to suit specific contexts. Additionally, we may incorporate supplementary details on the nodes or beneath the connecting line to emphasize key subjects or highlight important messages effectively.

Co-Branding
Principles

We always use the wordmark for partnership lock-ups, ensuring it appears first in the layout. Our symbol logo is utilized as a collaboration indicator, maintaining an appropriate clear gap between elements. The spacing is determined using the width of the letter “N” as a reference. If space is constrained, we scale the logo proportionally by half to preserve clarity.
To better fit different contexts, we provide two orientation options. It’s ideal for the partner logo to also be a wordmark to maintain a cohesive appearance. When the partner logo features a color different from ours, we are flexible in adapting the contextual color to emphasize and balance both identities.
我們在合作標誌設計中始終使用文字標誌,確保它在布局中首先呈現。我們將符號標誌作為協作的識別標誌,並保持元素之間適當的間距。間距以字母「N」的寬度作為參考。如果空間有限,我們將標誌按比例縮小至一半,以保持清晰度。
